Obituary of Stephanie Anne McFadden
McFADDEN, Stephanie Anne (Pavuk) It is with the greatest sorrow that I must announce the death of my beloved wife and best friend, Stephanie Pavuk McFadden. Her body was finally overwhelmed by an accumulation of multiple chronic serious medical conditions and therapies that she has battled for most of her adult life. She ultimately succumbed on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 3 a.m. with her husband and several close friends by her side. She was predeceased by daughter Shawn-Marie McFadden, mother (Tekla Porado Pavuk) and father (Stephen Ralph Pavuk). She is survived by her husband and many adopted sisters. Stephanie had many interests and talents and will be remembered for her work with children, her love of life, her home, piano, quilts and beautiful gardens. But her incredible character and class were best shown in the manner she fought the constant physical and medical battles with courage, humour, intelligence and poise throughout her long debilitation and death. To her last breath she was the rock that held the us up and together. She is my beautiful hero and will be sadly missed forever by all who were close to her. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Stephanie had requested only white daisy flowers (the Liver Foundation symbol) please. Or if you prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations to the London Transplant Clinic or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Because Stephanie’s love of life was so strong and her journey has value and meaning, she leaves behind the issue of organ donations for consideration. “Please don’t take your organs to heaven, heaven knows, we need them here.” Online condolences may be sent at www.donaldvbrown.ca.
