I am sorry for the lateness of this message. I returned from holidays and clipped the obituary- meaning to write sooner. Good thing I clean my house once in a while. I met Bob while teaching at Bennetto/Centennial after he had retired from teaching. We had many interesting discussions and I had great respect for him. He had a wonderful personality and an excellent character and I know that he influenced many during his teaching career. He was a wonderful person to be around- a very positive attitude. His memory will be carried in the hearts of many. Please be comforted to know that although he has left this place, he will live forever in spirit. Deepest sympathy to you all. The world is a richer place for having known Bob!

Words cannot express the sadness I feel for the loss of Mr.King. He was my grade 7 and 8 teacher at Queen Mary School and he was a pivotal person in my life.
I thought often of trying to contact him to sincerely thank him for the person he helped me become.
I want to let his family know that even though we never crossed paths in life again after elementary school, he is someone I thought of often.
He cared for his students, he brought , joy, laughter, fun, and a strong self worth and confidence to his students, especially to me.
He believed in us, he taught us to be strong, and he taught us to love life.
Thank you Mr.King for being one of the most memorable people in my life!!
I feel honored to at last, be able to say thank you to him, even though its not in person and it's with many tears.
To the King family, my deepest sympathies and please know that my prayers are with all of you.
Thank you again for the many wonderful memories Mr.King!

During the 20-year span of my academic career no educator had as profound an influence on my life as did Mr. King. His creative approaches to teaching (which were greatly ahead of their time), unwavering dedication to his students and uncompromising demand for accountability fostered an environment where it was cool to be smart and where merit was measured solely by the strengths of our efforts to succeed. As my grade 7 homeroom teacher in 1984, Mr. King, among other things, helped me discover the rich beauty inherent in a Steinbeck novel and, most importantly, instilled in me a belief that any goal in life is achievable if a person is willing and unafraid to work for it. In 1984 Mr. King prepared me for the rigors of life. Thank-you Mr. King.
My deepest condolences to Mr. King’s family. He was an incredible person and his memory will remain strongly in my heart as I am sure it will remain in yours.

Dear Mr. King,
You were my Geography teacher when I was in grade 5 & 6 (1984-86). Your firm teachings have impacted my life in the way that I bring up my own children. You were my brother's favorite teacher and will be missed by all.
Our sincerest condolences to your family. You will never be forgotten.
