Obituary of Mabel Kemp

KEMP, Mabel (nee MacPherson) Passed away peacefully with family at her side on Wednesday September 8, 2010, at the age of 87. Beloved mother of Cheryl Rintoul (Mike Drongosky) and predeceased by son Stanley (Bud) Kemp (Denise Merlino). Dear Grandma of Chris (Sarah Jane Rintoul), Jennifer (John Bozek), Susan (Krystian Belza), Kara, Braden, and Briana Kemp. Loving Great-Grandmother (G.G.) to Leo, David, Claire, Nathan, Holden, Sophie and Harrison. Mourned by her sister Jane Conlin, and predeceased by sister Myrtle McCartney and brothers Bill and Jim. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Philadelphia in 1923, she had a love of the sea shore, her family, and enjoyed many sports, most notably ice skating, for which she won the Gold Medal in Ladies Singles in the United States Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championship in 1943. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Creekway Village for their kind and compassionate care. As per Mabel's wishes, a memorial gathering will be held. We would like to invite friends and family to a reception celebrating Mabel’s life on September 18th at 2:00 p.m. at 1321 Fairway Court in Burlington.
