Obituary of Margaret Ruth Kelly

KELLY, Margaret Ruth With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Margaret on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Idlewyld Manor in her 84th year. Margaret was predeceased by Jack, dear husband of 61 years, her parents Allan and Doris Eckford and her brother Arnold. Mother of Dave (Sandi), Darrell (Cathy) and Randy (Carol). Grandmother of Melissa, Tanya, Andrew, Venessa, Lesley, Amanda, Dan, Derek, Tim and Megan. Great-grandmother of Hailey and Preston. Sister of Jean Eckford and Diane Adams (Ken). Special aunt to Kathryn (Brian) and Matthew and great-aunt to Gemma and Amelia. Will be dearly missed by family friend Irene Aitken. Marg touched the lives of many, including her animal friends in need. She was involved in the rescue of hundreds of injured and abandoned pets. She was also an Akela with First West Saltfleet Cubs and Scouts. We are extremely grateful to the incredible staff at Idlewyld Manor. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA or the animal foundation of your choice.
