KELLOGG, Sarah B. (Martin) nee Walsh
At Queen’s Garden Nursing Home on Saturday, May 14, 2011, born in Fermeuse, Newfoundland, a life time resident of Stoney Creek in her 89th year. Loving wife of Hugh Kellogg. Survived by her children Cheryl Bender (Richard), Ken Martin (Elisabeth), Michael Martin (Candy), Dody Ferber (John), Stephen Martin and Karin Martin (Trevor), her stepson Rick Kellogg (Sylvia), her grandchildren Duane, Ryan, Amy, Sarah, Ariana, Michael-John, Evan, Kieran, Jeremy, Sierra, Jack, Jason and Shannon, her great-grandchildren Emily, Ellaina, and Meaghan, her brother William and her sisters Teresa and Bridget. Predeceased by sons Andrew, Gordon, Ian and Colin Martin, daughter Marian Martin, sister Kitty and brothers Patrick and Anthony. Sarah was a retired employee of Hamilton-Wentworth Social Services, a member of Toastmasters and Binbrook Little Theatre. She volunteered for many local charities including United Way, Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice and SISO, took great enjoyment from Theatre Aquarius and the Hamilton Philharmonic, was politically active and took strength from her Rosicrusian beliefs. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Sarah’s Life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 18 at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow.
