Obituary of Ella Sophia Baker

BAKER, Ella Sophia (nee Prues) At the Henderson Hospital, Hamilton on Monday, January 19, 2009, of Stoney Creek, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Irvine C. Baker. Ella was Stoney Creek Citizen of the Year in 1973, volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society for over 25 years, organized the Stoney Creek Santa Claus Parade for many years and was a founding member of Grace Lutheran Church, Hamilton. Friends and family will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
