Dear Sandy and Colin,
We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Bob’s passing. We will really miss our many rinkside chats. There was no doubt he was passionate about his family and his work. He will be greatly missed by his extended hockey families. We hope in the many difficult days that lie ahead, you will able to take comfort in recounting your own wonderful memories with Bob, and hold them dear. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both and all who called him 'friend'.

I wish to express my sympathies to Bongo's family. It has been 23 years since I last saw Bong and this news has shaken me like I just saw him last week, he made such an impression on everyone he met. The world has lost a truly caring, supportive and all around wonderful man. Never forgotten.

Sandy and Colin-
Our thoughts and prayers are with you through though this time. Bongo was around my life since childhood from seeing him work his magic with Dad's junior/senior hockey teams and then having the pleasure of reuniting with him with many of our ball teams. I will say that without Bongo some of our teams would not have succeeded as they did, he was our MVP getting everyone ready for game time. His stories and rants will be missed.
Colin, your Dad was very proud of you as a weekend or a conversation would never pass without him talking about you and your hockey.
Bongo will be missed. Our condolences.

On behalf of our crew who covered the Oakville Blades, please allow me to extend our deepest sympathies at this difficult time. Bongo was always there for us with the "inside scoop" on the upper and lower body injuries before and after the games. His passion and humour will be greatly missed! He was one of the genuine characters that make our job covering sports so much fun.
Rest in peace Bongo.

We are truly saddened to hear of your loss. It was such a treat to see Bongo in the summer during the National team games in Jarvis. He is going to be missed by many around the ball parks and arenas. Everything he did, he did with a passion and that is what made him such a treat to be around. I will miss the coffees and long talks but the memories are never ending.
Our thoughts and prayers are with through this time of sorrow.

Sandy and Colin,
We are sorry for your loss. Bob was a great trusted friend, warm, caring and with a wonderful passion for hockey. We all shared that with him. He treated the boys like sons, and his humour and friendship were always welcomed. His dedication was second to none, from places like Arthur Ontario on a cold Thursday evening in January to Junior C in Erin and Junior A in Oakville, Bob was always there, supportive, encouraging, helpful. A great legacy.
Our prayers are with you both during this time.

Dearest Sandy and Colin,
We will never forget the impact that knowing and loving "the coach" has made on our lives. Jordie has fond memories of being on Bob's team, and Jordie's love for the game came from the passion and patience that Bob showed him as a coach. There will never be another "coach". Bob was one of the most wonderful and interesting people I have ever known, he made me laugh, and always excepted people for who they were. He was a wonderful father and husband, who loved and cared for his wife and son, we all will miss him so much.

Sandy & Collin,
Our deepest of sympathies for your loss of Bob and your dad. We were very saddened, first to hear the news of Bongo being ill and now for his passing.
He really put his heart in everything he did and all his work at the ball diamond was greatly appreciated. Randy particularly remembers Bongo's famous "ice baths". Anything Bongo could do to get them "game ready" - he did it. Also appreciated the nights welcomed into your home.
Bongo was someone we are truly happy to have known, a great guy......we liked to call friend....
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.

Sandy and Colin,
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Bob. We spent alot of time together on trips with the National Team, we were a pair that had our morning coffee and smoke before everyone else was usually out of bed. We had many talks about ball and life in general. He had a great zest for life and loved his family dearly. Please accept my deepest sympathy and my thoughts and prayers are with you both in this time of sorrow.
