Obituary of Ruzica Jovic

JOVIC, Ruzica (nee Minic) Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Friday, November 16, 2012 with her husband, son and daughter-in-law by her side, at the age of 69. Beloved wife of Gvozden of 46 years. Loving, caring and nurturing mother to her son Nikola and daughter-in-law Donna. Caring sister of Radovan, aunt to Sasa, Ivana and Vojkan of Serbia. Dear sister-in-law of Manda Katancevic and family also of Serbia. Ruza (Rose) is predeceased by her parents Dusanka and Budimir. Rose will be deeply missed by her many kumovi Pausak, Kanlic, Stojanovic, Mugosa, Prijatelji Ratko and Juliana Djuric from Chicago and many friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the compassionate staff at Juravinski Hospital, especially the front line C3 nurses with whom she formed friendships along the way. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Pomen 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 1415 Barton St. E., Hamilton on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Vojislav Pavlovic officiating. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church or Juravinski Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
