Obituary of George Roy Johnson

JOHNSON, George Roy (1922-2013) Entered his Eternal Home October 24th, 2013, in his 91st year. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 67 years, Harriet (Olson). Loving father of Lyle (Thoreen), Wayne, daughter Faye (deceased 1959). Loved by his grandchildren Bradley (Laura), Rebecca (Josh), Timothy, and great-grandchildren Sarah and Gabriel. Survived by two brothers and one sister. Predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, served in W.W. II R.C.A.F., employed at Stelco for over 33 years, was very active in church ministries for several years at Delta Tabernacle and Paramount Drive Alliance. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family interment service held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel Friday, November 1, 2013 at 1 p.m. Thank you to the staff and P.S.W.’s at Extendicare Nursing Home for their kindness given to George.
