Obituary of Barrie Jobling

JOBLING, Barrie 1938-2008 Why does my heart go on beating? Why do these eyes of mine cry? Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when we said goodbye. It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of "my Barrie" on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in the arms of his family whom he adored. Beloved husband of Pat and treasured father of Michele and Christian. Devoted granddad to Shaun, Devyn and Joshua. My Barrie was a special man to many people, too numerous to mention and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone whose lives he touched. We, his family, wish to extend our deepest gratitude to Father Martin and to the VON nurses, especially Martha and Velvet, and the 3rd floor Oncology Unit at the Henderson Hospital. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil on Thursday at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Friday, March 14 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow.
