Obituary of Paul David Jackson

JACKSON, Paul David Paul Jackson of Smithville passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the age of 62 years. Paul leaves behind the love of his life Renate, wife of 41 years, his sons Blain of Huntsville and Glen (Deanna) of Smithville and his beloved grandchildren Rachael, Owen, Aaron and Cameron. Paul believed that words always seemed too cheap to describe his depth of love and pride for his family. He wanted them to know that they were the centre of his world. Paul will be missed by siblings Marilyn Finton (Ab), Don (Iris), Brian (Carol), sister-in-law Ruth Long (Doug), parents-in-law Gerry and Inge Braklow and his dear mother, Dorothy Jackson. Paul is pre- deceased by his father, Murray Jackson. In Paul's own words "I always knew I could count on you all. Thank you and I love you." Paul will also be missed by the many members of his extended family. Paul worked as a plumber and pipefitter for 45 years, was a member of the UA Local 67 since the founding year of 1968, retired as of May 1, 2010. He worked hard and also played hard, hunting, snowmobiling, working in the garage and enjoying time with friends and family. To his friends, "Thanks for all the laughs and all the happiness you brought to my life." Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. (due to road construction please take Second St. North off King Street and turn right at Charles Street). Funeral Service will be held at Stoney Creek United Church (corner of King St. and Lake Ave.) on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
