Obituary of Bryon Jackson

JACKSON, Bryon Of Hamilton, formerly of Binbrook, left us peacefully at St. Joseph’ s Hospital on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in his 63rd year. Loving husband of Eleanor (Alexander) for 42 years. Beloved father of Sean and wife Yvonne, Erin, Kelly and her partner Jesse Newell. “Grumps” to his adored grandson Alexander. Eldest brother of Barbara and her husband Dave Mallick, Warren and his wife Sherry and Dawn and her husband Brian Greenhalgh and brother-in-law to Marilyn Thompson. Predeceased by his parents Marion and Ken Jackson. Life long friend of Ronn Wilson. Bryon was a retired employee of Dofasco after 39 years of service, an active Ontario Minor Hockey Association coach and instructor and a member of Binbrook United Church. He has touched many lives along his journey of life. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. (There will be no visitation on Saturday evening) and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Binbrook United Church on Monday, April 19 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Binbrook United Church, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
