Obituary of Ross Alexander Inglis
INGLIS, Ross Alexander
(Sept. 14, 1937 – Mar. 15, 2013)
After a long fight with Uveal cancer (eye melanoma), Ross passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 15, 2013. Devastated by his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dorothy of nearly 51 years of marriage. Loving father of his devoted daughter Amber of Vancouver. Proud, caring Dad to his son Dean (Erin), grandchildren Brenna and Owen of Dundas, his brother Douglas (Jeanette) of Caledonia and friend Betty Hoadley. Predeceased by his mother Irene, father Lloyd and sister Lynn Walker. He was a dignified, mannerly, thoughtful, caring and respected good man. He enjoyed his retirement with his beloved gardening, world travel with his wife, T.V., crossword puzzles and volunteering at Theatre Aquarius. Ross was employed for 41 years at Stelco (office) and 27 years part-time at Sears. Cremation has taken place. As per Ross’s request, there will be no memorial service. A private family interment of his ashes will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory to the cancer Assistance Program, Concession Street in Hamilton would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to ALL his doctors, care givers, supportive family and friends during this difficult past year.
