Having read the precious memories and admiration of so many I feel privileged to also experience the genuine friendship and love Lena so generously poured out. Truly her love was unlimited as was her source she drew on. I have missed her presence here in Trinidad. Bless all of you, be comforted in Lena's reunion with her Lord and her desire that you too will comforted in the bottomless well of God's grace and love.

Lena and I grew up together as sisters. We walked to school together with my older sister Maureen. We all grew up and I got married, two years later Lena also got married. I remembered her styling my hair for my wedding. My sister Maureen, Lena and I had lots of fun growing up together. I’m really going to miss talking with her on the phone. The last thing she promised me is that she would be coming to Houston TX to go to church with my family and I and to hangout in Texas.
Psalm 23
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
Love always,
Janet and family.

During our university days Raechel and I were often mistaken for sisters which we usually played up to when the occassion suited us! We also shared a common family history, both our mothers were hairdressers who ran successful salons.
Although we never had the chance to meet up in person, I know that through Raechel we were both aware of the happenings in each other's lives.
You are a survivor having made this journey that many would have given up a lot sooner and you should not worry about those you let behind, for you were able to leave us with your legacy and numerous shared memories for all to carry with them for a lifetime.
May your soul rest in peace now and may your family and friends take comfort in having known such a phenomenal spirit as yourself!

gracious and loving God do all things right and i know that i know his timing is always on time may you rest in peace, I will miss you but the Lord had a better place for you.
A GOOD name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.
It is better to go to the house in of morning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men;
and the living will lay it to his heart

Chicky, Raechel and family, our deepest condolences. May you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you.
Lena you will be missed dearly..............
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me"
with tearful eyes we watched and saw you passed away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A Golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
All our love.

Corrine & Damian Croney...... (Trinidad)
Kenny, Raechel and the rest of the Family.
I am so sorry for your loss, we know its been a strugle for her. From the first time I met Lena when she returned from Canada and opened her Hair Salon!!! there was never, up to now(any one else that can fill her shoes) She was most loved by my family especially my kids. Lena was such a beautiful person, always made me feel like part of her family.
I hope this poem that I read will give you comfort because I know Lena is with our Lord Jesus who received her with open arms saying to her " Well done good and faithful Servant, Welcome Home "
A BETTER VIEW:
Dear loved ones, lift your sprits, and take a peek up here. One glimpse will soothe your sorrow for my new home will appear. You'll see this land of promise, which we often talked about. Its grandeur is far greater than we dreamed, without a doubt, I expected golden pathways, mansions fair and gates of pearls... But this place exceeeds the visions I beheld while in that world. Look with love and find great comfort as you gaze beyond the veil... Fill your hearts with joy and join me in God's presence where I dwell. What a trill to be here dancing in the midst of Heaven"s throng. See me mingling with the Angels singing Praises and Worship songs
Though you miss me, I am not distant, I still have my sights on you, I just crossed into forever where I have a " Better View" Keep good memories to console you but let grief and mourning go, Smile dear loved ones..... I'm in Heaven, living in God's Gracious Glow.
Love to all.

Some people touch our lives in special ways. Lena was one for me. She was one of the best work friends I had when hairdressing in Kitchener. Even though we lost touch in and out over the years there are many day to day occurrences in my life that make me remember her with a smile.
My first avocado-I still can’t buy one the right ripeness! Lena would bring me one and say “put this in a paper bag for 2 days and then eat it.” Perfect!
A blustery day in winter would always bring me a morning call at Eaton’s from Lena, just checking that the roads were good and buses running. I always teased her that we didn’t get tornadoes here. Windy days make me smile.
I never got her to come camping but my nails are always nice because of Lena. She had a way of making us all strive to be better. Her clients were loyal as she made them all feel special and look beautiful.
With a phone call or quick visit we could always catch up the years of family happenings, death of family members and the birth of grand children. Me looking the part with grey hair and Lena still looking like she was too young to have children.
I know she will be missed by family and friends. I will remember her as my friend who always looked 18 and had the loving heart of an old soul.
Hugs to Kenny & family
