Obituary of G. Derek Hopwood

HOPWOOD, G. Derek On January 15, 2013 surrounded by his loving family, Derek Hopwood of Stoney Creek, at the age of 77 peacefully passed away at home. He will be sadly missed by his wife Elizabeth (Liz), son Eric (Penny), daughter Brenda (Tom Garlow), grandchildren Christine, Corey, Tanya (Kyle), Dylan and Ron, and great-grandson Cameron. Will also be missed by his sister Sheila (the late Albert Farnsworth) and family. Also, by many friends. Derek was a retired employee of the Hamilton Spectator (1953-1990).
