Obituary of Shirley D. Hodgson

HODGSON, Shirley D.(nee Richardson) Passed away peacefully, at St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, Ontario, on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of Harold (Hal) Hodgson for 54 years. Cherished mother of Paul and his wife Gillian of Cambridge. Predeceased by her daughter Sandra in 1995. Survived by her brother Bill and his wife Carolyn of Rockport, Texas. Also survived by her sister-in-law Evelyn and brother-in-law John Hough of Stoney Creek, and her many grandchildren, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. The happiest years of Shirley's life were spent at her home on Little White Fish Lake near Parry Sound where she enjoyed the beauty of the area. Shirley was a licensed hair dresser, and a real estate agent with Royal LePage, Parry Sound. She was also a Lioness (Lions Club, Parry Sound). Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Cayuga at a later date.
