Obituary of Irene Hipkiss

HIPKISS, Irene Surrounded by the everlasting love of her family, on Friday, October 4, 2013 in her 66th year. The loving and treasured wife of Richard of 47 years. Proud and loving mother of Annette and her husband Eddie, Sean and his wife Taryn. Adored grandma of Sierra, Alec, Rachel, Caitlin, Liam and Kirstyn. Daughter of Maisie (Mary) and the late Bill Wilson. Daughter-in-law of the late Norma and Eric Hipkiss. Sister of Brenda Wilson, Benoit Fournier and Gordon Wilson. Sister-in-law of Bill and Jan Hipkiss, Eric and Sue Hipkiss, Anne and Eldon Turcotte. Will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Thank you to the ICU East staff of Hamilton General Hospital for their care, and special thanks to the anonymous donor who provided for us at the Mark Preece Family Home. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home,36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Federation For Cerebral Palsy or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
