We knew your mom and dad through my sister and her husband: Lynne and Larry Speight and their two girls Lisa and Tracey. Often on Berkindale Drive we would visit my sister, and there in the kitchen would be Pauline and Jimmy. Playing cards, having a fish fry, and lots and lots of laughter. We are very sorry for your loss.

If We Could Bring You Back Again
If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.
If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.
If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.
I (Leigh) have wonderful memories of Jim and Pauline while I was growing up. They were like my second parents. Their kindness, love and caring I will never forget and will always be thankful for having them a part of my life. The happy times we had together fishing, camping or just sitting around the kitchen table sharing stories and having some laughs I will always cherish. I will miss you Jim and may you rest in peace now with your beautiful wife Pauline. I will always love and deeply miss you both.
Love Always,
Leigh and John

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Even though we only recently reconnected, it was fun talking about family history, and especially swapping fish tales. Thanks for all the good times spent at your cottage,and the kids will really miss swimming there. Rest in peace Jimmy.
Love, the other Hinds

I'll never forget you Uncle Jimmy, I found this poem and I think it is so true,
Around the Corner
By Henson Towne.
Around the corner I have a friend, in this great city that has no end
Yet days go by and weeks rush on, and I never see my old friend's face; For life is a swift and terrible race. He knows I love him just as well as in the days when I rang his bell. And he rang mine. We were younger then-
And now we are busy, tired men- Tired with playing a foolish game, Tired with trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow," I say "I will call on Jim, Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes- and tomorrow goes;
And the distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner! Yet miles away...........
"Here's a telegram, sir."
" Jim " died today."
And that's what we get - and deserve in the end -
Around the corner, a vanishied friend.
I miss you Uncle Jimmy, and I'll never ever forget your saying......
"People are Just People" I understand now what it means. Thank you for all the great memories. You'll Forever and Always be my favorite Uncle.
Love Always, your Niece,
Debra

Since 1959 the second day at Stelco the two Jim's were friends. We have many good memories of camping, fishing and partying at Beaucage park and Jocko Point.
Jim and Pauline will always have a special place in our hearts, we will miss them dearly and they will not be forgotten.
