Kathy passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Monday December 23, 2024, at St. Catharines General Hospital. She accepted Jesus as her Saviour at 13 and throughout her life tried to live for Him and understand how deep his love was for her. She was born April 23,1949 and raised on a Dairy Farm in Hagersville Ontario. Predeceased by her parents Helen (Pyle) and Arthur Winger. Kathy resided in Stoney Creek where she raised her daughters. She was a loving mother of Jennifer (James) Agnew and Jessica (Colin) Davies. Cherished grandmother of Caleb, Tobias, Ryleigh, Seamus and Sarah. Kathy loved being a mother and especially a Grandma, she attended sports and school activities when she was able and SHE PRAYED FOR HER FAMILY DAILY.
She will also be deeply missed by her many siblings and their families along with her caring friends from the old Stoney Creek Alliance Church, Stoney Creek Baptist Church, the church she most recently attended, Q50 Community Church and the staff and residents at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland where she lived the last year of her life. Kathy is also now reunited in Heaven with her best friends Linda Johns and Carol Czeto, and her sister Sharon.
Her joy was sewing for those she loved, and she was a very talented seamstress. She was known for her baby blankets and many Mom’s were blessed with a blanket gift over the years. Her children and grandchildren have beautiful quilts sewn by her. In her later years when she couldn’t sew, she made crocheted dish clothes and gifted them to those she cared about.
