Obituary of Karl Robert Taylor
It is with a heavy heart, we are sad to announce the passing of our father, on December 7th, 2024, at St. Peter’s Hospital at the age of 80. Karl was born on January 1, 1944 in Kingston, Jamaica. Predeceased by his parents Loris Adams and Hubert Taylor. He leaves behind wife/ex-wife Thelma Taylor, children Melissa (Wendell), Clysen and Dave (Sonia). He cherished his grandchildren Savannah, Ciara, Jayden, Erin and Ashley, and great-grandchildren Grayson and Carson. Karl will be fondly remembered by his sister Hyacinth, nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.
Karl spent a good number of years working at Ontario Reman as a Receiver. He had a passion and love for history, geography and politics. He was a human navigator–so when Karl was onboard, there was no need for a map. Karl also had a remarkable memory when it came to recalling historical dates and facts. He loved to travel, and he had no hesitation to drive across the country from coast to coast. Karl was diagnosed with cancer for several years and put up a brave fight right to the end. We are proud of the battle you waged. Rest in peace.
Special thanks to the oncology team at Juravinski Hospital and St. Peter's. Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Karl’s life will take place immediately following in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1p.m. Inurment to take place at a later date.
