Obituary of John David Konior

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the heart of our family, John David Konior, on Tuesday November 26, 2024, at the age of 65. He leaves behind his loving wife of over 44 years, Julie, whom he spent all his days loving and caring for, while sharing all of life’s adventures. Loving father to Daniel, Kimberly, and David and loving father-in-law to Krystal and Adam. John was a doting, supportive, and loving grandfather to Luke, Jaina, Henry, and Thomas. He will be missed by his many brothers and sisters, Bonnie (Al), Sandy (Larry), Doug (Kathy), Mary (John), Frank (Teresa), Ted (Gail), Rob (Lynn), Debbie, and Patti, along with his sister-in-laws, Nancy (Jim) and Patti (Rob), as well as many nieces and nephews. As a life-long Hamiltonian, John worked at Dofasco for over 30 years and volunteered in the community, coaching youth sports. John lived every day to the fullest, treasuring each opportunity to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

The family invites loved ones to join us for a visitation to share their memories of John on Saturday November 30, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. at Donald V Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, with John’s children sharing reflections from 5:30-6:00. A private interment will take place at a future date for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.

We are, each of us, greater for having known and loved you, and will hold you in our hearts as we experience all of life’s treasures, until we meet again.
