Obituary of Joni Piper

Passed away suddenly at her home, and peacefully in her sleep, on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the age of 58. Beloved and devoted wife of Craig Galassi for almost 8 years. Dearly loved mother, best friend, supporter and confidant of Cordell; she was always in his corner. Predeceased by her parents Murray and Joan McDonald. Dear sister of Murray (Lynn), Bobby (Cindy), Tommy (Penny), the late Jimmy (Kim). She will be missed by her aunt Connie and her favourite uncle Walter, and by her cousins Joy (Dave), the late Cindy (Michel), Tracey (Jules), and Trina (Johnny). Joni will be missed by her nieces and nephews Tanya, Melissa (Allan), Christopher, Lesley, Jamie, Robert, Nancee, Kaitlynn, Lorissa, Jeremy (Amanda), Jesse (Emily), Carly, Dylan (Sydney), Megan, Evvan, her many cousins down East, and by her many extended family members and friends. She will be deeply missed by her loving cats, George, Lucy and Dexter.

Joni’s charisma and personality helped to excel her as a saleswoman, which she used in the insurance industry over the last 40 years. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humour, as well as her loud and boisterous laugh that you would hear before seeing her. She partied like a rockstar and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
