Passed peacefully and quietly with her family by her side on October 29th, 2024 at the Shalom Manor in Grimsby. Beloved wife, soul mate and best friend of Gordon. Loving mother of Cathy (Bill) Hodge of Beamsville and David (Karin) Procunier of Millgrove. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Steven Hodge, Robyn Hodge, Chantelle Procunier and Claire Procunier. Also survived by sisters Shirley MacMartin of South Carolina, U.S.A., Sheila Little (Jeff) of Dundas, and sister-in-law Audrey Procunier of London. Predeceased by sister Sandra (Edwin) Boyd and parents John and Julia Harron.


A special thank you to the staff of Shalom Manor, Grimsby, and Pastor Peter Janssens for their loving care of Sylvia while she was with them. Sylvia was a kind, loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved children, cats and dogs. We all miss her.


In accordance with Sylvia’s wishes, there will be no Visitation or Funeral Service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to Shalom Manor, Grimsby would be appreciated by the family.
