I was summer student at the Firestone warehouse in the 70s and got to know Larry on my summers working there.
I loved being in Larry's company. I nicknamed him "Loady" because of his substantial size. He used to smirk and respond, "Your cruisin' for a bruisin,' Rasula." When he'd catch up to me, he'd mockingly "punish" me in a headlock, and we'd laugh uncontrollably.
I told him when we broke, "I love you man." He responded, "I love you too, kid."
These many decades later, I still think of our interactions fondly.
Special moments, with a special guy.
Love you man!
