Wayne, Brian, Raymond, Kevin & families. I'm so sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace. My favorite memory of your Mom was when she told my Mom that she had no problem with Brian & I dating. I found it funny because it's usually the other way around. She will be missed.

On behalf of the Watson and Watson-Dwight family of Havelock and Toronto (Giz, Carol, Don & myself), I want to extend our sympathy to Wayne, Brian, Raymond, Kevin and family. We had the pleasure of initially meeting Erland (& Harold and 'the boys') when they rented the Cartwright/Marten cottage at Round Lake. We Watsons had the next 2 neighbouring cottages. Erland and our Aunt Verna immediately became fast friends. In fact, at the start of one summer, they discovered that they had bought matching swimsuits. These suits even got wet occasionally when they were brave enough to wade into the lake when steam was rising! This friendship extended to and included the rest of us Watsons and was able to continue when Brian and Mary bought a cottage just down the road. We all enjoyed Erland's distinctive voice and laugh and no nonsense delivery. She clearly enjoyed sharing anecdotes about her family's milestones, travels to Texas, house moves and adventures. When not at the lake, Aunt Verna and Erland took turns phoning one another on a weekly basis. When Aunt Verna became ill, Erland and I continued to chat, although not as regularly as they had. Even when Erland's weekly outings stopped, Erland's pride in her family, her knitting and the garden that Kevin helped her maintain never did. Erland will be so missed but never forgotten. How fortunate we were to have known her. Sending our love and hugs to each of you, Lois Watson-Dwight

Wayne, Raymond, Brian and Kevin and Families,
Loving sympathy to all of you. I know your mom loved you all to pieces. You were her life. When we had our monthly turnabout calls she always had news of you and your families.
My husband Ken was her first cousin and after Ken's passing we kept in touch with monthly calls.
I am sorry that I cannot get to the funeral but I will be thinking of you on the day.

Erland was a devoted friend to my parents Ruth and Al. Harold and she were neighbours on Barnaby Street for 65 years. First next door then to their bigger house directly across the street. I babysat Wayne and Brian when they were tiny. After they passed Erland and I stayed in touch as much as we could. She was kind, caring and a wonderful neighbour. I look forward to seeing her boys. Rest In Peace
