Obituary of John Taylor

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Nancy for 52 years. Dearly loved father of Erin Taylor (Dale), and Lisa Berry (Brock). Cherished grandpa of Jesse, Emily, Sayla, and Cooper. Dear brother-in-law of Lynn Weatherill (Phil). Survived by his many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.

John worked for many years as a computer operator for Firestone, and after retirement, he enjoyed working part-time at the car wash. He was also a member of Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622. John had a love for playing cards, crib, darts, and was a huge Hamilton Tiger Cat and Toronto Blue Jays fan.

Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622, 2 King St. E., Stoney Creek on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Red Cross would be greatly appreciated.
