Peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy battle with cancer, on Monday, August 5, 2024, in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Margaret for 35 years. Devoted father of Lindsay (Dillon Cran), Robin, and Morgan. Cherished Papa of Evelyn, Claire, Isaac, and Kaidan. Dearly loved son of Russel and the late Bettyjean. Dear brother of Susan. Dan will be greatly missed by his aunt Elaine Rutherford, uncle Jeff Mason, and by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dan was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and playing cribbage. He was a sports enthusiast who was loyal to the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Vikings to the end. Dan developed a love for decorating the outdoors for holidays. He was proud to have recently won the Stoney Creek Scare Award. Special thanks to Dr. Samawi and the staff on 3C at Juravinski for their exceptional care.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 10 a.m in the Funeral Home Chapel.
