Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.
I've been so lucky to have meet my late husbands (Shane) entire family out east and remember those times fondly.
We were also so very lucky to have visited with them on their visits to Edmonton.

Thinking of Marjorie....
Even though you are gone, your presence will always be with us. You were our guiding light, our best friend....We’ll miss you and love you more than words can express. It will feel odd not being able to see you, but the love and memories of you will carry on. Thanks Marjorie for all that you did for your family.
Love,
Charles

I could write for days about all of the wonderful experiences I had with my Gran … she was such a consistent, positive figure in my (and my cousins’) life. I honestly don’t think I could have asked for better grandparents. Growing up we spent so much time at their home, eating grilled cheese sandwiches, playing card/board games, running around the backyard and often getting into trouble of some sort. I will particularly remember her saying “godt the baaaathroom”, giving us the smallest ice cream scoops ever, dancing to ABBA (or whatever Gramps pick of music was) blaring the living room, eating her rice crispy and other “squares”, and (once I was old enough to truly appreciate her gorgeous being and role in my life) soaking up every hug, feeling her soft face and kissing her so much that she would get annoyed at me. Her and Gramps would always stand at the bay window as I pulled out of the driveway, waving goodbye together. I will always be able to recall that vision so vividly. She looooooooved every member of her family and made us each feel uniquely special. She was eternally positive and feisty. I was able to go on a couple of cruises with her and exist alongside her, in her happy place. I feel so fortunate for those experiences. She was always up for any new adventure, so much that she put on shoe spikes, boarded a helicopter, and hiked an Alaskan glacier with me, when she was in her 80s. The crew was in awe of her energy. I could go on and on. I loved this woman with my heart and soul, and will make sure that my children have the privilege of knowing who she was, through my stories and traditions. Thanks for shaping my wonderful life, Gran. Xxx

Frank and I are so very sorry to learn of your mother’s passing.
She was always so welcoming whenever I came knocking on the door to play with Carol (which was almost every day) lol.
The Parker family figured brightly in my childhood.

Wendy, Bruce and I were so fortunate to be raised in the idyllic setting of Christina Avenue. Complete freedom for us and all the neighbourhood kids to run freely at will on a dead end street; spending endless hours at the baseball diamonds in the schoolyard.
#261 was our home and I will hold it dearly in my heart forever. So many family get togethers in the huge back yard to even begin to count. Friends and family were always welcome.
Mom and Dad both loved their home so much. It was a part of them, and that is why I’ve chosen to post this picture of Mom in her happy place.
I will hold my Mother and Father forever in my heart and be thankful for the life they gave me. Mom was such an inspiration to me; she always reminded me to be sure to do the things that make me (and Charles) happy.
I am not on Facebook, so I would like to use this platform to thank everyone for their messages of love, support and encouragement. We are blessed to have all of you in our lives.

I, too, am saddened to hear of Marjorie's passing. My mother (Dorothy Robertson) and I loved chatting with your parents at Wesley United Church. They were two of the nicest and most positive people I've ever met and were great role models. They always put a smile on my face.
With deepest sympathies.
