Obituary of Robert (Bob) Gaubert

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert (Bob) Gaubert in the early morning of Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16th, 2024. Born on June 30th, 1954, in England, Bob passed away peacefully in his sleep. A devoted husband, Bob deeply loved his wife, Sandy. Many who knew him believe he passed away from a broken heart after losing both his wife and mother only a few months ago. Bob was a constant source of unwavering support and steadfast love for those around him. He remained by Sandy’s side, holding her hand throughout her journey, offering his devotion until her very last breath.

Bob is now reunited in heaven with his beautiful wife, Sandra Isabel MacDonald, his parents, Barbara and Victor Gaubert, and his brother, Maurice Gaubert.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved son, Christopher MacDonald (Partner Lisa) and their son, Jacob; his loving daughter, Joni McCafferty (husband Brian) and their son, Riley; his loving son, Rob Gaubert, and his sons, Devin, Jordan, and Damon; his brother, Alan Gaubert (wife Valerie); and his sister, Jacqui.

Bob’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him. His kindness, devotion, and love for his family were evident to all who knew him. May Bob rest peacefully now that he is reunited with his one true love forever in the kingdom of Heaven.

Celebration of Life will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, ON.  Date: Thursday, July 11th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
