Obituary of Margaret Ann Hilts

It is with the Greatest Sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Hilts. She passed peacefully on Saturday June 22, 2024, in her 87th year in Mississauga with her family at her side. Loving mother to Christopher Judson Lewis (Daniela), Patricia Ann MacDougall (Larry) and the late Carolynn Victoria Lewis. Beloved Grandmother to Kaitlyn Margaret Lewis-Mousa (Ahmad) and Ryan Christopher Lewis and an incredible loving extended family & friends. Margaret is the daughter of the late Edith May (Finch) and Judson Isaac Hilts "Proud Fruit Farmers" of Fruitland, Ontario. She has joined her beloved partner for many decades the Late Mario Newmark a true gentleman who she loved dearly.

 

Margaret was a passionate soul and loving life-long member of Wesley United Church in Fruitland. She was a loving friend to many animals and will be greatly missed by her son’s family dog “Cali". In her spare time Margaret loved being with her family and friends who adored her. Margaret was an amazing doll maker, winning many awards in her retired years. Her career included various industrial administrative positions in the Hamilton Wentworth and Burlington area including the Valve Company Lytle Specialties where she had many friends. A special thank you to the loving and caring staff at the Extendicare Mississauga.

Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, June 27th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral on Friday, June 28th at 11:00 a.m., at Wesley United Church 651 Highway 8, Stoney Creek with interment at Mountview Gardens Cemetery, Stoney Creek. In Margaret's honor donations can be made to Wesley United Church and the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
