Obituary of Elmo George Nunziato
December 8, 1931 – April 8, 2024
It is with great sadness but at the same time joy, we are announcing the passing of Elmo George Nunziato in his 93rd year. A loving husband, Dad, Papa, Nono and brother, he will be greatly missed by his wife Inez, daughters Angela (Frank) van der Zalm, Monica (Bob) Kingdon, his grandchildren Peter (Sarah), Sharon (Craig), Wayne (Dana), Patrick (Sonja), Andrea (Jason) and Kate, his great-grandchildren Connor, Keller, Hunter, Addison, Ella, Teagan, Klara, Cole, Isabelle, Easton, Dominik and Charlee.
70 years of unwavering love to his wife, they shared an amazing life together that is worth celebrating.
Elmo was the youngest son of 11 children and will be missed by his surviving sister, Rosalie Manente and his many nieces, nephews, and their families. Predeceased by his siblings, Armondo, Mina, Sam, Ann, Phyllis, Ursula (Tillie), Rae, Jim and Rita.
A respected Dofasco retiree of 35 years, Dad loved life, family, and friends (“The Gang”) and lived it to the fullest. Special thanks to the staff on 8 South at the Hamilton General Hospital, especially Dr. Srivaratharajah, Nurse Practitioner Catherine, nurses Kay, Nicole, Megan, Jihye and Adrian.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, April 15th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Parish, Barton St. and Nash Rd., Hamilton on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 10am.
