Obituary of Sandra Isabel MacDonald

In profound grief, we share the news of Sandra Isabel MacDonald's departure from this world at age 66, on April 4, 2024. Her battle with cancer concluded in the comforting presence of her loving husband, Bob Gaubert, who, with steadfast love and devotion, never left her side. He held her hand throughout the journey, a pillar of unwavering support until her very last breath.

Born on October 28, 1957, in Hamilton, ON, Sandra's life radiated unwavering love and the warmth of maternal affection, her family always her foremost thought.

Greeted in heaven by her parents, Dorothy and George MacDonald, and her siblings, Deborah, Ken and Marilyn, Sandra's life was a testament to her vibrant love and selfless devotion. Mourning her loss are her husband, Bob; her son, Christopher MacDonald, along with daughter-in-law Lisa and grandson Jacob; and her siblings Linda (Myles), Catherine (Pierre), Tom (Sandra), Greg, and John.

Sandra's essence was a blessing, her spirit of generosity and care undying in the hearts she touched. Her memory will be held in perpetual esteem, her love and kindness endlessly inspiring those who carry her in their thoughts. The family extends heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming love and support received in these trying times.

We are profoundly moved to Honour two remarkable sisters, Sandra and Marilyn MacDonald, who left this world just 24 hours apart. The bond they shared in life was a testament to sisterly love, a connection so deep that they enter the kingdom of heaven hand in hand.

Please join us in a dual celebration of their lives on Saturday, April 13th, at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This gathering will be a tribute to the light of their spirits and the love they held for each other, now carried into eternity.
