Obituary of Norma Catherine Tessier

August 20, 1942-March 15, 2024

It is with great sadness that the Tessier family announces the passing of Norma, on Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Tessier for 48 years. Loving Mother of Carol Grover,  Denise MacIntyre (Ron), Joanne Brenyo (John), Ray Jr., and Gale O'Hearon (Ray). A very proud Nanny of Jessica, Darryl, Brent, Mark, Sebastian, Brandon, Jacob, Shannon, Aidan and Owen, whom she loved dearly. Very proud Granny of her Great-Grandson, Dylan. Norma also leaves to mourn her Brothers, Sisters and Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Nieces and Nephews, and many friends. 

Norma's greatest passion in life was her family. She babysat most of her grandchildren from the time they were babies, knitting every grandchild slippers and sweaters and loved and cherished her role as Nanny. Norma was an avid reader, loved her puzzles, and her weekly bingo with her daughters, Carol and Denise. Her greatest asset - her mind, was as sharp as ever right up until the end. She will be missed for her quick wit, and her funny sense of humour but most of all, for her love and compassion for all of her family.  

Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers to take place at 7 p.m. A future inurnment will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery in Cornwall.
