My condolences to the entire family, I am certain that you will miss him. Yet, how lucky you were, I am certain that you must have many fond memories. Like so many others, I have good memories of Harvey as a supervisor in the Records office when I joined the Service as a cadet in 1975. I had contact with him from time to time during our respective careers, and it was always the same - positive, and thoughful. In my own retirement now, I have thought of him from time to time, with warmth. Respectfully Mike Campbell

We lost another Great One!
Harvey was a mentor to my Generation of Cadets especially if you were a hockey player, he was a big brother that kept you out of trouble he was a great guy to have as a friend. I remember going to the Mountain Arena to watch the Police Hockey Team on a Sunday night. The goalie for the police team was Harvey. Now, I don't know if it was before goalies wore masks or, if Harvey was not wearing a mask because it was the warm ups; but a puck hit him in the face and cut him. Harvey went off to the hospital for stitches.I could go on & on with stories about Harvey but suffice to say we have all lost a great friend.
Anne, Mark, & Scott my Heart Felt Condolences.

My condolences to Ann and the entire Hicks family. I had Harvey as my first supervisor when I started my police career in 1972 as a cadet in the Records Office. We got along great especially after I bought a 64 Studebaker as my first car. He was also a Studebaker owner. Harvey was again my supervisor in the mid 80's in the Vice Section. We had many a good chat during those days. May he rest in peace. He's likely played a few rounds of golf at the Pearly Gate Golf Course.

Condolences to Ann, Scott, Mark and grandchildren, who I’m sure were enthralled with his many stories of his time on the ‘Job’.
I had the pleasure of working with Harvey in the Vice Office. Harvey was my boss, but with Harvey, it was always a collaborative affair. We always joked we had too much fun to be paid for what we did.
Harvey, after playing hockey for the Police Team, was an integral part of the team as a manager later on when I played.
I’ve had many nights reminiscing with fellow retirees at the Police Club thanks to Harvey and the others involved in the founding of the Club.
RIP Harvey!

My sincere condolences to Harvey's extended family on their loss. I knew Harvey fairly well during my 30 years with the department although we never worked on the same shift . He was a congenial guy and always seemed to have a smile on his face.
What I remember most is that he was instrumental in getting the Association to acquire the building on Upper Wellington Street and being one of the first to get served on opening day with Harvey standing proudly by the bar.
Rest in peace,Harv.

My condolences to Ann, Scott and Mark. I’m truly saddened to hear of his passing.
S/Sgt Hicks was a fantastic boss. Whenever we ran into each other we’d reminisce the fun times we had and all the wonderful memories we made in the Vice and Drug office. Quite often I think about him. He certainly will be missed. RIP boss!

Deepest sympathy to you Ann, Scott, Mark and your families. I truly enjoyed Harvey's friendship while curling and golfing with him at Glendale. He really was a one of a kind: decorated police officer, accomplished athlete, raconteur and amazing resource forvthe history of Glendale golf and curling club. May you rest in peace Harvey.

My deepest condolences to Anne, Scott, Mark and families.
I have so many great memories working with Harvey for over 5 years in the Vice/Drug office. We both agreed that they were probably some of best years we each had on the job,
So lucky to have also got to know Harvey better through Police sports, as well as golf and curling together at Glendale.
Every time we go to the Police Association we should remember what Harvey did to make it possible for members and retirees to get together and share old stories - as Harvey often did.

My Deepiest Condolences to the Hicks. Whenever I curled against Harvey it was by far the most enjoyable game. You can guarantee a laugh every end. Don't get me wrong, he was always very competitive. But he took the game in fun, at the end we laughed more. Thank you Harvey for making my curling experiences fun and memorable. God Bless
Now you are officially a curling God, and boy we all know them.
