Obituary of Mary Atherton

ATHERTON, Mary (Adshead)(nee Donald) Peacefully at Heritage Green Nursing Home on Friday, March 5, 2010 of Binbrook formerly of Saskatchewan, in her 95th year. Wife of the late Frank Adshead and the late Stanley Atherton. Beloved mother of Velva Jacobs (Blaine), Don (Sharon) Adshead, Frank (Dianne) Adshead, Marie Switzer (Wayne Renshaw) and Sylvia Laidman. Will be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by granddaughters Penny (1965) and Jenn (2008). Dear sister of Ken Donald (Mary) and Keith Donald (Anne). Predeceased by her brother Gordon Donald and by her sister Bessie Barber. Will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of Binbrook Baptist Church for over 50 years. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Binbrook Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 9 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
