August 12, 1930 - January 10, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Frederick Carter, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife Thelma (nee Downey), with whom he shared 52 wonderful years.

Ronald leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, forever etched in the hearts of his children: Deborah (Dean) Kent, Judy (Michael) D'Ilario, and Kenneth (Suzanne) Carter. He was a cherished Grampy to Sean (Tammy), Ian (Melanie), Stephanie (Kenny), Mark (Maddy), Kyle (Carrie) , and Jesse (Kate), and a beloved Great Grampy to Brayden, Kaitlyn, Leo, Clara, Marcus, Brodie, Aurora, Arlo, Tommy, Violet, Jameson, and Paisley. He also leaves behind family and lifelong friends in New Brunswick. His annual visits to his birthplace will be missed by all.

Ronald dedicated many years of service at Stelco, where he worked as a general foreman. He was a longtime member of Christ Church Woodburn and honorary member of the Binbrook Agricultural Society, where he shared his passion for country life and community.

Visitation to celebrate Ronald's life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek. The Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Woodburn, with a reception to follow.
