I worked with Larry at Orchard Park Secondary School. He added a definite spark to the school. Whenever he was involved in an activity, he gave it 100%. OP gained from his numerous and varied contributions! What a fun person! Great smile and great sense of humour! Cherish the memories of times together! With deepest sympathy to his sons, family and friends! Hughena Matheson

To Larry "The Duke" Cunningham, my pseudo ex step dad... May you rest peacefully with your loved ones. May the ears of all that are at rest be lucky enough to now hear your words of wisdom, wit and hyperbole...I will miss our visits but I know u are now free to run and be the athlete u once were, to be the scholar again and to be the counsellor you always were. From my mom, yvonne, who loved u and will love u forever, from myself who loved you and and will miss u forever, and trillium her only oupa forever.

Larry was one of my football coaches at Orchard Park High school in 1976 - the year we won the SOSSA Zone 1 Junior championship. He was one of the defensive coaches. I played defensive end. Larry had a razor sharp sarcastic wit. After that championship game against Ancaster, that we won 22-21, Larry said, in his inimitable style, "I'd like to thank the defense for HOLDING them to 21 points." Funny guy. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Mr. C.

There was no one quite like The Duke. He had a profound impact on my youth. He refused to be beaten at driveway basketball (or most anything!); "the quickness of the Big Man" would always come to the rescue, or Earl the Pearl would show up out of nowhere to hit the winning shot. When I was just learning to play golf I would marvel at how far and especially high he could hit the ball. "Lemon ... cherry ... orange ... banana!"
