In loving memory, we announce the peaceful passing of Anton (Tony) Brancelj on December 22, 2023, at the venerable age of 90, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Born in Vuhred, Slovenia on November 9, 1933, Tony's life was a testament to love, dedication, and family.

He leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by his devoted wife, Maria (nee Mihalac). Tony's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his daughters: Diana and her husband James, with their sons Bryce and Jake; Sonja and her husband Doug, with their children Jamie and Shannon, and the cherished memory of Tyler; Tanja and her husband Martin, with their daughter Josie; and son Mark, alongside his partner Candice and sons Lucas and Brennan.

Across the seas, his siblings in Slovenia, Slava, Ludvik, and Anka, mourn his loss deeply.

Tony's golden years found him nestled in Balm Beach, a place he lovingly tended, eagerly awaiting visits from his beloved family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at his funeral service scheduled for January 4, 2024, from 12-2. In lieu of flowers we would take donations for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
