Obituary of Ann Marie Watson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ann Watson (nee Stevens) on November 28, 2023, at the age of 72. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Ann was deeply cherished and beloved by her husband Charles Watson, and she was a beloved mother to Dara (Tim), Ryan (Melissa), and Devon (Jeremy), as well as a stepmother to Sharon (Dwayne) and Cameron (Katherine). She was also a dearly loved grandmother to Felicia, Ayden, Ava, Keaton, and Kingston. Ann was the cherished sister of Jamie Stevens (Cathy), Bob Stevens (Sue), and Chris Stevens (Josie). She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Sara (Wayne), Jaime Lee (Nick), Rob (Jen), Megan (Elgar), and Emily (Matt), and great-nieces and nephews - Hanna, Nora, Nellie, Will, and Charlie. Ann will also be lovingly remembered by the Watson/Lewis/Ratzlaff/McLauchlan Families.

Ann was an avid golfer who spent many winters in Florida and was a long-time member at Glendale G&CC. When she wasn't on the golf course, she enjoyed working in her garden and around the family farm. Ann's passion was her family and friends, and she often spent hours in the kitchen preparing for gatherings. She and Chuck traveled often and have made lifelong friends, particularly those from Timber Pines.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Ann's oncology team led by Dr. Eiriksson and the compassionate C3 nurses who cared for her. They are true angels. A special thank you goes out to her dear friend, Flo Kuhnen, for all her care and support during Ann's final days.

Ann's family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A later celebration will be planned at the family farm in 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Canadian Blood Services in honor of Ann. Online condolences may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
