It is with great sadness that we announce that following a courageous and determined battle with cancer, Judith Collette Oldfied died November 29, 2023, at the age of 53. Judith had an unrivaled love for life, dedicating all she did to mentoring and supporting youth. Judith was a life-long member of the guiding community; she was adored as both a Guide as well as a Guider/Leader. Coming to Canada as a Nanny in 1993, she became a Child and Youth Worker in 2001. Judith pulled on her Catholic faith as a Foster Parent with the CCAS. Judith’s passion for life garnered her respect and admiration in her work, volunteer, and personal life. A love of travel took Judith across the globe, accumulating friends every step of the way.
Judith’s request for her Funeral was that attendees wear colourful clothing to celebrate her life. Funeral to take place at 11:00 am on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Holy Family Church at 1393 Cannon St. East in Hamilton. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after the funeral at The Columbus Club of Hamilton at 222 Queenston Rd.
