Obituary of George C. Voisard

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of George on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at his home, at the age of 94 years. George was the loving husband of Nora (Simpson) and devoted father of Lynn and Carol. Predeceased by his parents Elva and Chauncey and his sister Marjory. George is survived by his sister-in-law Dallas, nieces Debbie and Mary, nephews Don and Michael and cousin Robert.

He was an avid bird watcher, fisherman and fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. George loved to travel to the Canadian Rockies and to Kenora, Ontario for fishing in the Lake of the Woods. He was the owner of George Redding Sporting Goods Limited in Stoney Creek. George was a gentle, kind and generous person. He will be remembered and loved always.

There will be a Graveside Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Mountview Gardens Cemetery in Stoney Creek.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or the Canadian Wildlife Federation, would be appreciated by the family.
