Obituary of Marilyn Beardsworth
The windows of Heaven have opened to welcome Marilyn Beardsworth on October 19, 2023 at 82 years of age.
Marilyn was an incredible advocate for her precious Lord Jesus and Father God in Heaven. She told everyone that came across her path, whether friend or stranger of His love for them, quoting John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten Son.”
Years ago Marilyn worked as a hairdresser and esthetician in Dundas and also did family and friends hair as well. Marilyn loved to sew and do crafts. She spent many hours babysitting her grandchildren, colouring, crafting and baking with them. To this day they still remember all the things she would bring with her to make so many creations with them. She also made gifts for family and friends with her sewing talents. Her shortbread recipe has been a favorite in the family for years, especially at Christmas time. The family has learned to make it and enjoy it every year. Marilyn loved to sing and was a member of the choir for years. She loved to pray every day for all of her loved ones and even those she didn’t know. She always listened when people needed to talk.
Marilyn has resided at Heritage Green Long-Term Care Home for the past 3 years. She was very well loved and cared for by the incredible staff that worked in the home. Everyone spoke highly of her kindness towards others and her interest in their lives and stories about their families. The tears that were shed from the staff at her passing were evidence of the impact she made on each of them that cared for her. Marilyn will be missed and thought of often by her family and all who crossed her path.
Predeased by her Mother Agnes May, Father Royal May and by her husband Eric Beardsworth. She is survived by her brother Dennis May, sister Jeaneane Seiersen and 7 nieces and nephews; her children, Heather Mollon, Lisa Vanderhout (Peter Vanderhout), Noel Mollon, Mark Mollon (Tanya Mollon).17 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Heritage Green Nursing Home for all their loving care towards Marilyn over the past 3 years. She spoke highly of each and every one of you, and how you touched her life.
