Obituary of Roy Ransome

December 7, 1938 – August 1, 2023

Passed away peacefully, at his home. Roy will be lovingly remembered as the son of Harris and the late Amelia Ransome. Cherished husband of Marjorie Brereton and predeceased by his loving wife Elsa Ransome. Dearly loved father of Shellyann Salmon, Kerry Ransome, Mary Defrietas, Gillian Salazar and father-in-law of Valantine Alexander,  Marlene Durity-Ransome, and Wesley Salazar. Devoted grandfather of Myles, DeAndre, Jalen, DeAnna, Jelissa, Melissa, Kyle, Ciara, Kaylee, and Janae. Predeceased by his brothers Elijah (Sonna) Ransome and Aaron Benjamin Ransome. Dear brother-in-law of Christine and Rudolph Braxton, SallyAnn Maynard-Ransome. Uncle of Lima, Lew, and the late Lesa. Will be dearly missed by his friends Ms. Camille Iverson, Mr. Titus, Mr. Ford, Dese and Junior Goddard, and many others. Family of The Alleyne's, Mascall, Jackson, Braxton, families and many others. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Victory International Church, 2799 Barton St. E., Hamilton on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
