Obituary of Corrie Sturrock

January 11, 1939 - June 2, 2023

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Friday, June 2, 2023 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Vincent (“Vince”) Sturrock for 63 years. Devoted mother to Mark (Barb), Karen and Paul (Reg). Cherished grandmother to Christine (Josh) Laszlo, Andrew Sturrock, Nathan and Sarah Ivanco. Loving great-grandmother (“Oma”) to Abigail. Dear sister of Nellie (Helmar) Voigt and John (Marlene) Vandehei. Predeceased by siblings Diane (Gary) Hurkens, Maurice, Tony (Vi), Andy and Harry Vandehei. Fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Corrie was a longtime member of Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Elfrida, a member of the CWL and enjoyed singing in the choir. The family wishes to thank all St. Joseph’s staff who provided compassionate care to Corrie over the past year. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of  The Assumption Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. Refreshments will follow in the parish hall. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
