Obituary of Norma Doreen Tompa

Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023 in her 80^th year. Beloved wife of the late Ivan (2015). Dearly loved mother of John (Sherri) and Kathleen Ceric (Tony). Cherished Nana of Aprilyn, Rhiannon, and Ethan. Survived by her daughter-in-law Mercedita. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Kathleen Smeaton. She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends. Norma had a love for reading, Elvis, and the movie Dirty Dancing. She was proud to have enjoyed 25 years running the drive-thru window at Tim Hortons. She was quirky and honest, tiny and mighty, and will always be remembered for being kind to everyone she met, making them feel like family. She was the light in any room and always the life of the party. She will be truly missed. Heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of VON Nursing, 400 Victoria Avenue N., Hamilton, for all of your kind and loving care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Vigil prayers 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
