Obituary of Marina Joyce Watson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marina Joyce Watson on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the age of 88. Loving and cherished wife of 61 years to George Watson. Dearly loved mother of Colleen (Jim) Tougher, Thomas (Carol) Watson and Martin Watson. Beloved grandmother to Hannah and Emily Watson. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Agnes Norwood and brothers David, Thomas, Donald and sister Melles. She will be missed by many friends and family in both Canada and Northern Ireland. Marina was born in Hamilton, Ontario on October 31,1934. She was raised in Bangor, Northern Ireland and later returned to Canada where she met the love of her life George and raised three children. She was a longtime member of St. Columba Presbyterian Church and later a member of MacNab St. Presbyterian Church. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, 3 West for the care they provided. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 2 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 3 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
