Obituary of Colette Marie Rainville

(nee Fortin)

Born June 21st 1934, recognizing Edmond Rainville as the love of her life, she left the nunnery to get married on December 26th 1951.  Colette gave birth to 9 children which 7 survived: Denis, Edith, Ghislain (John), Marcel, Michel, Serge and Nancy.  They started their life in Northern Quebec, eventually moved to southern Ontario so their children could learn English and they never left. Colette always made every house a home filled with love!  Colette was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law! She always put her family first no matter what!  She was an outstanding cook, seamstress and boy could she make a dollar stretch!  She always cared and served everyone around her! She was always emanating love!   Colette leaves behind 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  The legacy she leaves behind is a family who always puts each other first and who love each other unconditionally!   On January 7th 2023, Colette passed away in Edmond’s arms, the love of her life!

Repose en paix Colette!  On vous aime plus plus!

No funeral will take place at this time. Once the love of her life will be with her, there will be a celebration of their lives together!
