Uncle Leon picked up Christine and I in Florida where he drove us to stay with Auntie Gloria. We met Earla on that trip and had a lovely time. I had not seen Uncle Leon in years. Somethings never change, like wonderful, reliable people. When you reunite its just like yesterday. Elizabeth was my other sister growing up and Myra and Leon always welcomed me into their home❤️

August 14, 2003 was the best one on one memory I have of Uncle Leon. He was busy in the Port Sydney cottage, playing his country music records and I was painting the bunkie, along with my son. All of a sudden the music stopped and I asked Uncle Leon to put it back on since it was so relaxing as I was painting. Needless to say that's the day of the major power outage and realizing the food for supper was frozen, I panicked. But there's Uncle Leon with the solution. He lights the barbeque and we eat bbq'd lasagna for supper that night. I will miss him as much as I do my Aunt Myra. I loved them both so much.
