Obituary of Jakob Erich Anweiler

It is with great sadness that we announce that Jakob Erich Anweiler passed away on November 18, 2022, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital with family by his side. He was 87 years old. Jakob was born in Urgartsthal, Poland, spent his childhood in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Elizabeth. He is also the beloved father of Laura and Lisa, a special Opa to Graeme and Natalie, and the dear brother-in-law of Ed and Bob, and Cary and Rob. Jakob is survived by his two sisters in Germany, Hannelore and Christa, and was predeceased by siblings Elizabeth, Philip, Heinrich, Wilhelm and Erika. Special thanks to Dr. Marc Ysselstein for the excellent care he provided to Jakob over the years including during his recent hospitalization, as well as to all the staff at WLMH.
