Obituary of Franc (Frank) Ferencak

It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Franc at Edgewater Gardens, Dunnville, on Monday, October 31st, 2022 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Ana (2021) for 67 years. Cherished father of Albina (Jozef) Antolin and the late Frank Jr. (1982). Devoted Dedek of Valerie Antolin (Breton), Vincent, Andrew (Meaghan) and great-grandfather of Amelia, Audrey and Ava. Dear brother of Julija Ferencak (the late Ivan) and brother-in-law of Veronika Matjasec. Predeceased by sisters Maria Ferencak and Verona Hajdinjak (Imre). Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Ivan Kovac (Mira) and Janez Kovac (Maria). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Slovenia. Also lovingly remembered by family and Botrina: Stefan and Francka Antolin, Ivan and Angela Antolin, Rozalija (the late Ante) Cule, Alojz and Dragica Ferencak, Frank and Ljudmila Zadravec and their families. Special thanks to Drs. Scallan and Kobah for their excellent care of both parents and to the VON, PSW’s and caretakers for their care while they were still at home. Thanks also to Dr. Hu and all of the wonderful staff at Edgewater Gardens for their compassion, kindness, and friendship extended to Franc and our whole family. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Prayers 5:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Church, 125 Centennial Parkway N., Hamilton, on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Dunnville.
